What Is IPL?
If you are concerned about how your skin looks because of sun damage, dark spots, or rosacea, Zula Modern Medspa can perform a skin analysis at our Huntsville, AL office to see if you qualify for intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy. An IPL photofacial is a rejuvenating skin and rosacea treatment for adults with hyperpigmentation issues on their neck and face. A photofacial may be a noninvasive procedure; however, it can be highly effective and produce amazing outcomes. Dr. Sarah Todd or one of our highly trained estheticians use Harmony® XL PRO technology to perform IPL treatments. Schedule a consultation with us today to see if you are a candidate.
How Does IPL Work?
IPL is done inside our Huntsville, AL office in around 20 – 30 minutes in our minor procedures room if performed alone. To start the IPL facial, we will wash and dry your skin before protecting your eyes with special glasses.
The IPL photofacial is administered using Harmony XL PRO's handheld wand that passes over the skin while intense wavelengths of light energy heat the skin cells to ignite the natural healing process and increase collagen production. While many patients may feel mild discomfort during the IPL photofacial, it's generally bearable for the short treatment time. After a while, you should see a healthier layer with an improved tone and fewer spots.
